Your Recovery Process

Immediate Post-Op & Day Of

Following your breast lift surgery, you will be monitored in a recovery area by medical professionals. Pain and discomfort are common and can be managed with medication. Your breasts will be wrapped securely with bandages and placed in a surgical bra to provide essential support.

Following Days

Rest and avoiding strenuous activities are crucial for several days post-surgery. While you may still experience some pain and discomfort, these sensations should gradually subside.

One Week

Around one week after your procedure, you'll return to Athēnix for a follow-up appointment. Your surgeon will remove the bandages, assess the healing progress, and determine whether you need to continue wearing a surgical bra for added support.

Two Weeks

You can typically resume work and engage in light activities after two weeks. However, it's essential to continue avoiding heavy lifting and strenuous exercise.

Six Weeks

You can usually resume normal activities at the six-week mark, including exercise. The breasts will have undergone substantial healing, and any scars will begin to fade.

Three Months

Around the three-month mark, you will follow up with your Athēnix surgeon. The scars will continue to fade, and the breasts will have settled into their new position.

Six Months

The first factor is how you would like your breasts to be improved. After that, size, shape, degree of sag, the health of your skin, your age, and other factors come into play. The position, size, and shape of the areolas are also considered.

What kinds of incisions will be made during the procedure?

This largely depends on how much of a lift you require to achieve the look you want. The crescent incision is minimal and designed for minimal sag or when combined with implants. The anchor can correct heavy sagging. There are several other styles of incisions, including those made in the armpit, appropriate for saline implants.

What can a breast lift correct?

Sagging, of course, but a breast lift can correct cosmetic imperfections such as downward nipples, loss of rounded, firm, youthful breast tissue, and sagging.

How long does a breast lift take?
