What is BOTOX?

BOTOX is an injectable neurotoxin and one of the world’s most popular cosmetic treatments. Made with the active ingredient botulinum toxin type A, BOTOX temporarily prevents the facial muscles from communicating with the nerves. This stops the muscles from contracting, which smooths out the skin and softens dynamic wrinkles.

How it Works

Before BOTOX treatment begins, the skin in the targeted area is numbed with a topical anesthetic.
